Rahr Memorial School Forest Update

 

 

The National Archery in the Schools, outdoor archery course officially opened on April 29, 2008 at the Rahr Memorial School Forest. 0ver 170 eighth grader from Washington Jr High School, shot archery using the new state of the art Genesis bows and other equipment, which was purchased through generous donations by the National Wild Turkey Federation-East Coast Gobblers Chapter, White-Tails Unlimited and the Ratsch Kupper Fund. Every eighth grader had the opportunity shoot archery during this two day environment event. For many of these student’s it was first time they ever shot archery.

 

Two NASP Basic Archery Instructor (BAI) workshops are scheduled for July 29th and July 30th at the School Forest, to certify twenty Manitowoc Public School Teachers and Administrators.
