Hawaii Hunt Raffle Rich Schmit from Knapp WI can honestly say that he had a hunt of a lifetime. Rich & his daughter, Veronica, had a great time hunting, fishing, attending the banquet & a little time for sight-seeing. The 1st day in Hawaii, Rich hunted the Parker Ranch with a cowboy guide that lasted the whole day & resulting in Rich shooting a bird at 5:30 that afternoon. The next day he went hunting with Hawaiian guide Jon Saboti on the Kealia Ranch & after about 15 minutes into the hunt Rich had his 2nd Rio on the ground. He was happy with this because I think he was very tired from the previous day’s hunt plus he could get back & spend some time sightseeing with his daughter. On the 3rd day Rich & his daughter went on the Marlin fishing trip on the boat, Sea Genie II. They didn’t land a Marlin but the seas were a little rough that day so it shortened up the day. That evening they attended the Volcano Chapter fundraising banquet which they enjoyed very much. On Sunday they had a chance to do some more sightseeing before heading back to the Mainland that evening. It was a very busy 4 days for Rich but all in all they had an excellent time. He wanted to thank the State Chapter for conducting the raffle & having the opportunity of experiencing Hawaii. Mike Skaife PS I would like to thank Jon Saboti for setting up the hunts & the Volcano Chapter for their hospitality. Anyone from Wisconsin wanting to experience a Hawaiian turkey hunt 1st hand contact Jon Sabati @ 808- 896-0972. The Hawaii turkey season runs from March 1st – 31st.
